We believe in the value of caregiving and the dignity of work.
Family Values © Work Action works in partnership with our state coalitions to build political power among historically disenfranchised voters in the movement for care and caregiving and other economic security issues through public education and civic engagement strategies.
State Coalition Partners
We partner with diverse state coalition partners across the country who are coming together to support, lobby, and push our elected officials to advance paid medical leave, paid sick leave, safe days, universal childcare, and other policies that value families. Below are member coalitions that work hard every day, in their respective states, to advance our united mission.

“It was clear while talking to voters in 2024 that people are worried about the rising costs of caregiving - the costs of caring for their aging parents and caring for their children, especially the rising costs of healthcare and childcare. People need the financial support of paid leave more than ever.”
“With over 300 candidates signed up for the Public Campaign Finance Program, the momentum is undeniable,” said Rebecca Garrard, deputy executive director for Citizen Action of New York, a grassroots membership organization that campaigned for the program. “This is a seismic shift in New York’s elections—where real people, not just the ultra-wealthy, can finally elevate candidates who reflect their values.
For too long, millionaire and billionaire donors have overshadowed the voices of everyday New Yorkers, but this program is breaking their grip on our democracy,” Garrard said
Care continues to be an overwhelming winning issue with the people we represent. We need to lead with care everywhere to take back this country for those who seek to divide us.

“MOJwJ Voter Action didn't wait for elected officials to raise our wages, give us sick time and restore our reproductive freedom.
We partnered with groups like Family Values@Work Action to build a plan and together made it happen!”
